FAQs
Do you have to be naked?
Nope — your comfort comes first. Most clients wear underwear, a bathing suit, or disposable options. Disposable thongs are available upon request. Minors are required to cover both top and bottom unless a parent/guardian is present for the full appointment. How long does an appointment take?
Most appointments take 20–30 minutes at the most — setup, consultation, spray time, drying, and cleanup. All from your home. *Bridal consultations take about 45 minutes.Where do you set up?
Anywhere with enough space for a professional spray tan tent — bathroom, living room, kitchen, garage, or basement. I bring everything. Will it get all over my house?
No. A professional spray tan tent contains overspray. Your home stays your home — just with more glow in it.Can I shower before?
Yes — shower at least a few hours before. Your skin should be clean, dry, and product-free. Shave at least 12–24 hours before so your skin has time to settle. Can I sleep in it?
Yes, depending on your formula. Wear loose, dark clothing and avoid sweating. Your technician will advise. Will bronzer transfer?
Some cosmetic bronzer may transfer while developing. Loose, dark clothing and dark sheets are recommended. It washes out of most fabrics. When should I book before an event?
1–2 days before is ideal. This gives your tan time to fully develop and look its best for photos. Can I spray tan while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Many clients do. Golden Hour does not provide medical advice — please check with your doctor first. Comfort accommodations can be made.Is it okay for sensitive skin?
Aviva solutions are designed to be gentle and free from many common irritants. Please disclose any allergies or skin concerns before your appointment. What if I have dry patches?
Moisturizing in the days before and exfoliating properly beforehand helps create a smoother, more even result. Our products are moisturizing and will not further dry out your skin. Can I swim after?
Wait until your tan has fully developed and you've rinsed. Chlorine and salt water can shorten your tan's life. How do I make it last longer?
Moisturize daily, avoid harsh exfoliants, pat dry after showers, and avoid oil-heavy products. Hydrated skin = a better fade. Most tans last 7–10 days. What if I have a sunburn?
Do not spray tan over active sunburn or peeling skin. Wait until your skin has fully healed.Do I still need sunscreen?
Yes. A spray tan does not protect your skin from the sun. Always wear SPF. Glow safely.Do you spray tan men?
Golden Hour primarily serves women-focused appointments, events, and parties. All appointments are professional, consent-based, and subject to Golden Hour's comfort and safety policies. Will I turn orange?
No. Your shade is selected based on your skin tone, undertone, and desired result. The goal is always a natural-looking glow.
